Silentium Defence is building Australia’s next generation of passive radar and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) technology — sovereign sensing systems trusted by Defence and critical infrastructure partners.
Our OmniGuard passive radar has been operational for more than four years and is already demonstrating major value to both commercial and military space awareness. We are now expanding our capability and scaling delivery of this world-leading technology.
We are seeking a Systems Engineering Manager (SEM) to lead systems engineering maturity, frameworks, and technical governance across the OmniGuard SDA Program. This role is ideal for a high-performing Senior Systems Engineer who is ready to step into formal leadership and take ownership of a complex, nationally significant engineering challenge. About the Role
As the Systems Engineering Manager for OmniGuard, reporting to the Program Manager, you will set the direction for how Silentium designs, integrates, tests, and governs complex, high-integrity sensing technology.

The Role
Manuplex Pty Ltd is currently seeking a motivated and experienced, Mechanical Draftsperson & Estimator to join our team at our fabrication workshop in Rockhampton. The applicant will preferably be based in Rockhampton.
Qualifications and Experience
Cert III in Engineering and Drafting
Proficient with technical drawing programs and 3D modelling (e.g., inventor 2020 or AutoCAD)
Relevant mechanical design drafting experience in a workshop environment, inc. structural steel weldments and sheet metal development
Familiarisation with relevant Australian Standards including Structural Steel, Handrails & Access platforms
Design draftsmen with a trade background or other tertiary qualification in industrial design are also encouraged to apply
Skills
Ability to build and maintain client relations
Strong estimation skills for all facets of steel work such as mining, civil & structural steel works
Flexibility to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required
Ability to think creatively and engineer solutions for any problem that may arise in day-to-day operations
Drive to succeed and improve on current process and product lines
General knowledge of the fabrication and welding process
Able to multi-task on different projects at once

In this role, you’ll help ensure the safe, reliable performance of aircraft engines through hands-on maintenance, testing, and compliance. Join our Pacific Turbine Brisbane site in Pinkenba.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, assembly, and testing of aircraft engines and associated equipment to approved standards.
Complete accurate documentation for all work performed, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Ensure all work meets company policies, NAA regulations, SMS requirements, and manufacturer/customer specifications.
Apply quality control and assurance procedures, identifying and reporting any faults, defects, or deviations.
Support internal and external audits to maintain regulatory compliance.
Mentor and assist in training team members, promoting adherence to quality standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to enhance processes.
Pro-actively report unsafe conditions and actively participate in safety initiatives to improve the workplace.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
Carry out in-field repairs as required, following Pratt & Whitney or Honeywell maintenance manuals.
Skills and Experience:
Qualification in aerospace industry – Certificate IV Aeroskills (mechanical), Diploma or international equivalent
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Engineer within the aviation industry
Proven experience as an Engine Shop Technician or Engineer with experience working on Pratt & Whitney PT6 series engines or Honeywell TPE 331 Engines
Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney Canada and Honeywell publications and work instructions including overhaul and maintenance manuals, parts catalogues and service bulletins
Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the hydraulic documentation process for projects from concept through to construction.
Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD documents for hydraulic services designs from pen or PDF markups, starting with basic documents for concept stages through to coordinated and accurate designs for construction.
Coordinate closely with the internal team of designers, engineers, administrators, and other members of the drafting team to ensure that projects are completed to a high standard and by the required deadlines.
Review consultant and client markups, providing feedback and input on changes and inefficiencies.
Candidate Profile
Proficiency in engineering drafting using CAD software
AutoCAD and REVIT experience greatly valued.
Experience in building services drafting within Australia.
