We have an opportunity for an innovative and precise individual to assist with the development and implementation of asset management systems, policies, procedures and programs for all water supply, sewerage and recycled water assets, including the overseeing of contractors providing associated services.

As an Engineer in water and Sewer, you will assist with the development and maintenance of long-term financial models and development and review of asset elements of BVSC’s Delivery Plan, Operational Plan and Water & Sewerage Asset Management Plans. You will also administer works programs including setting of works standards, inspections, systems monitoring, reporting and other related activities

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds an Engineering degree or Advanced Diploma in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field and has well-developed knowledge and demonstrated experience in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering You will have the following skills and experience;

Description

  • Reporting to the Project Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for the safe and timely execution of construction and pre-commissioning activities
  • This includes supporting the Delivery Team through completion and safe execution of the Civils & Underground (CUG) and Above Ground Installation (AGI) scope by the execution contractors, through remaining construction, construction completion & pre-commissioning and commissioning support
  • Ensure safe and quality execution of the scope, whilst managing within cost and schedule expectations
  • Work closely with construction contractors and LNG plant operations to assist to manage SIMOPs, permit to work and interface requirements
  • Liaise with support functions including Contracts, Logistics, Materials Management and Project Controls to manage progress of the CUG and AGI scopes. Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to meet project outcomes

Profile

  • Engineering degree OR equivalent with extensive experience within this field
  • Previous experience in a Construction Engineering role - preferably including electrical packaged equipment installation and pre-commissioning/commissioning

Application Criteria

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, build and maintain stakeholder relationships, with ability to engage, inspire, lead and mentor staff to achieve positive business outcomes with a One Team approach.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, document, implement and refine technical standards, operational guidelines and other relevant systems in a Roads & Drainage construction and maintenance environment.

  • Demonstrated project management experience in a Road and Stormwater construction.

  • Bachelor qualification in Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering – Civil), registered as a Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), with experience leading and supervising an internal day labour force.

The Opportunity
A major $300m+ luxury twin-tower project on the northern Gold Coast is kicking off with a builder/developer, and they need a highly capable Senior Project Engineer. You’ll support the PM and SM across planning, coordination, procurement, design, quality, and delivery. With no Site Engineer on board yet, this role offers real scope, autonomy, and the chance to help shape the engineering function as the project progresses.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Coordinate site, consultants, contractors, and manage procurement, planning, scheduling, and reporting
  • Ensuring delivery aligns with drawings, plans, quality, and environmental standards while resolving design/engineering issues early
  • Supporting the PM/SM to keep program, quality, and safety on track
  • Helping build and develop the engineering team over the project lifecycle
What You Bring
