About the role
We’re looking for a compassionate, dedicated Counsellor to join our dynamic team in Alice Springs, providing high quality, responsive and culturally appropriate counselling and groupwork services.
The counsellor’s role is to support and strengthen family relationships, prevent breakdown, enhance children and young people’s wellbeing and mental health, assist couples and families to manage issues arising from relationships, including family violence, and support children after parental separation.
CatholicCare NT Counsellors provide a range of evidenced based therapeutic interventions including family therapy, individual counselling and groups, support and information and referral. These interventions are primarily targeted to support critical family development and transition points including formation, extension, and separation.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated dental hygienist / oral health therapist to join our friendly and professional team.
Our modern, fully equipped 3-room practice is committed to delivering exceptional patient care with a strong focus on prevention and long term oral health.
The role is for a minimum of 2.5 days / week, working with a dental assistant, in a modern state of the art facility, and supported by a cohesive team of experienced clinicians and admin staff.

Performing comprehensive hygiene assessments and periodontal treatment
Providing preventive care and patient-specific OHI
Taking radiographs within your scope

Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records

What we're looking for
Dental hygienist / Oral health therapist with minimum of 2 years experience
Strong knowledge and passion for preventive oral health care
Confidence in providing periodontal treatment planning, periodontal treatment and ongoing management
Competency in using Guided Biofilm Therapy (Airflow) - experience preferred but training can be provided
Gentle clinician with patient-centred focus
High infection control standards
Organised, reliable, and strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members
