Your opportunity: 

  • The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is an advanced practice clinical leader responsible for coordinating patient-centred care within the Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) specialty. This role focuses on providing expert clinical oversight and management for patients with dementia and delirium, ensuring, high quality, specialised care tailored to the needs of the older adult.
  • The CNC (ACE) identifies patients with acute illness, frailty, or cognitive impairment in the Emergency Department and ensures timely transfer to a specialised Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) setting for early assessment and intervention, streamlining patient flow and improving care outcomes.
  • The CNC demonstrates sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and provides clinical leadership, advice and advocacy to a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of quality and cost-effective nursing and/or midwifery services which are consistent with contemporary standards, guidelines, relevant legislation and best practice.

Your Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming, organized and efficient  clinical environment- keeping the centre compliant, stocked and efficient supporting smooth daily operations. You’ll balance administrative responsibilities (40%) like Medicare billing, accurate coding, and meticulous documentation, with hands-on clinical work (60%) that directly impacts patient care.

  • Be the friendly face patients rely on- greeting them warmly, assisting with appointment scheduling, and maintaining up-to-date registration details to ensure the best patient experience.

  • Work alongside Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional care for injuries and illnesses, gaining valuable hands on experience in a collaborative healthcare setting.

  • Perform a variety of clinical care activities- from conducting detailed patient history assessments and administering medications to wound care, plastering and providing our patients with the essential education that empowers their recovery.

About You 

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse. 

  • Must be flexible and available evenings and weekends. 

  • Meet the minimum experience level in any one of the following:
    • 3 years of experience as a Primary Care/General practice nurse OR
    • 2 Years of experience in an Emergency Department/ similar setting OR
    • 3 years of experience in Medical/Surgical, Orthopaedics or similar acute care areas.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle escalations, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. 

  • A passion for patient-centred care and a personable approach.

About the position
The Mental Health Clinician will work collaboratively within the Mental Health team to undertake individual assessments, develop targeted rehabilitation plans and provide evidence based psychological interventions for a diverse range of consumers with mental health needs and their families and carers.

We have one position available on a part-time basis up to 30 hours per week (days and hours negotiable), based at Queanbeyan. This is a fixed term contract up until 30th June 2026.
 
We are looking for someone with:
  1. Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Aboriginal Health Worker, Mental Health Nurse, or Occupational Therapist (accredited with OTA as meeting the Australian Competency Standards for occupational therapists in mental health), or accreditation (or working towards) with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker.
  2. Demonstrated experience in undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments and development of intervention plans in collaboration with consumers and their family and carers
  3. Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic services
  4. Understanding of the biological, psychological and social underpinnings of mental health

Davis Recruitment is a specialist agency for the placement of Permanent Support Staff to the Medical/Healthcare Sector.

Our client, a brand new 2 Surgeon Plastic Surgery Practice located in Spring Hill is actively seeking to appoint a Full-time Medical Receptionist to join their team. This role will be supported by a Practice Manager and Clinical staff and offers the opportunity to learn the Plastic Surgery field. This role is full-time working 8.30am-4.30/5pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work a 9 day fortnight will also be considered. This employer is based in Spring Hill and offers FREE onsite/undercover parking.

This role will suit candidates with the following experience:

  • Medical Receptionist experience min 1 year

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Microsoft Suite, Gentu or similar 

  • Customer service experience

  • High attention to detail

  • Previous experience in Skin/Dermatology or Plastics or an interest in this field is highly regarded

To be considered, we are seeking applications from candidates who offer:

  • Minimum 2 years in a Medical Receptionist role

  • Experience using Microsoft suite and Medical Software 

  • Previous experience in Diary management and surgical bookings will be viewed favourably

  • Advanced customer service skills and enthusiasm for health and aesthetics

  • Attention to detail and time management

Hours:  This roles is full-time working 8.30am-4.30pm/5pm Monday Friday. A 9 day fortnight will also be considered for the right applicant. 

Commencement Date: ASAP! However, we are seeking candidates looking for a long-term opportunity, and we are seeking the right candidate to join this team. Therefore, if you have leave booked over Christmas and a New Year start is best for you, this can be accommodated. 

Salary:  Above award wages will be offered dependant on level of experience.
