This role is a permanent position on a 7:7 or 4:3 roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns to Groote Eylandt.
As the Maintenance Engineer (Mobile Assets), you will be responsible for engineering solutions that strengthen performance, reliability and safety across mobile maintenance, including strategy development, critical spares analysis and defect-elimination leadership.

About the role
Hawk Contracting is seeking experienced heavy diesel mechanics and auto electricians to join our team on an 8n6 fifo from perth to the pilbara, WA. This is a casual role, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of heavy equipment and machinery used in the mining industry. Successful candidates will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our fleet, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
What you'll be doing
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on heavy diesel equipment and machinery
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Perform component overhauls and rebuilds
Ensure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
What we're looking for
Relevant trade qualification in heavy diesel mechanics or auto electrics
Minimum 1 years' experience working on heavy equipment in the mining or resource sectors
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
A current driver's licence and the ability to obtain a site access pass

We are looking for Supervisor MEM Shutdown to join our Operations team at Tom Price. You'll lead, mentor, coach and develop the shutdown maintenance team while providing leadership in safely executing shutdown maintenance activities at site level.
You'll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You'll work on a fly in, fly out, 8 days on; 6 days ; 7 days on, 7 days off, roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
