POSITION OVERVIEW:
As an HD Fitters you will be responsible for maintain, repair, and service Eastern Guruma’s fleet of heavy mobile plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety. The role includes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repair, reporting, and compliance with company and safety standards.
ABOUT ROLE:
Carry out maintenance and repair work on mobile and heavy equipment with increasing independence.
Develop technical knowledge and sound judgment in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
Maintain a clean, safe workspace, ensuring all tools, PPE, and electrical equipment are in good condition and correctly tagged.
Conduct inspections, complete movement reports, and promptly record or report any defects.
Identify required parts and coordinate procurement with the Maintenance Supervisor.
Accurately update maintenance and fuel records in Viper Metrics.
Diagnoses complex faults, oversees quality control, and supports client communication.
ABOUT YOU:
Relevant trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent.
Experience with heavy mobile plant equipment (civil/mining preferred).
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
The Role & Project
MACA is seeking skilled and safety-focused Drill Fitters to join our Karlawinda Gold Project Maintenance Team on a 2:1 roster.
Located near Newman in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, The Karlawinda Gold Project is a high-quality, long-life open-pit gold mine owned by Capricorn Metals. It's one of the newest and most productive gold operations in the state, with a projected mine life of over a decade and ongoing production that exceeds 100,000 ounces of gold per year.

About the Role

Your key purpose and contributions will be:
Creating and sustaining a structured and efficient project management office to prioritise, coordinate and monitor operational task forces, initiatives, and cross functional teams.
Providing guidance to the operations leadership team in tracking and thoroughly evaluating key performance metrics.
Developing materials and information to support communication across the organisation regarding priorities, desired outcomes, progress and celebrating successes.
Leading practice improvement of current value chain processes; facilitating identification and scoping of high value initiatives to engineer productivity and process improvement.

What you can bring to the role
Tertiary qualifications in engineering, commerce or related discipline with a broad background within the mining / manufacturing industry with proven experience in workshop facilitation and senior leader coaching.
Skills in applying technical and operational knowledge in the continuous improvement of the operation with a deep understanding of operational KPI management systems and processes.
Exposure to Power BI developments and Agile planning and execution will be highly regarded.
Strong capability to influence multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively with key peers and customers.
An analytical mind, with strong detail orientation, a creative approach to problem-solving with a developed level of understanding of finance and management accounting.
A flexible work approach, with the ability to travel to site locations as needed to facilitate workshops and support operational engagement.
