About the role

The Cardiac Centre  is seeking a highly organised and efficient Medical Secretary to join their team across Benowa, Tugun and Ballina. This role will provide vital administrative support to the medical professionals at the practice, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service to patients and stakeholders.

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to medical staff, including managing appointment scheduling, handling patient enquiries, and maintaining patient records

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our practice sees a large variety of clients from many referral sources so no two days look the same. You will be able to build up a client database in one of Australia's biggest growth areas. The successful applicant will gain experience in the areas of private health, WC, DVA, EPC and NDIS. You will develop/improve your skills in setting up gym/pool rehab programs, undertaking pre-employment/FCE assessments and developing mobility/balance programs in the aged care sector.


ABOUT YOU

You will need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy.

  • Current AHPRA registration (or pending registration).

  • Current driver’s licence.

  • Appropriate professional indemnity insurance.

MNC Virtual Care (MNCVC) is a district-wide program designed to ease hospital burden and improve patient outcomes by supporting hospital prevention strategies, including Early Supported Discharge, Urgent Care service delivery, Emergency Department (ED) avoidance, Central Intake, and the Aged Care Outreach Service (ACOS).  

Operating within this hybrid model of care integrating virtual consultations with face to face interventions. The purpose of this position is to deliver timely, appropriate, and patient centred nursing care to individuals who can be safely managed outside the hospital setting. 

About you
A suitable candidate will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and demonstrate strong clinical competencies with a diverse skill set to deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care across both virtual and face-to-face settings. you will be able to perform comprehensive nursing assessments using critical thinking, with a focus on early intervention, triage, and escalation within urgent care, community, and aged-care contexts. Additionally, you will demonstrate the ability to independently assess clinical priorities and respond appropriately in dynamic environments, including the early recognition and management of clinical deterioration.

About the Role

The Theatre Stores Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of the stores, supply and procurement functions of the four facilities in the Pindara Hospital network.

This role will encompass (but is not limited to):

  • Organising the effective management of the supply functions for the facilities.
  • Ensuring procurement is undertaken in line with hospital and corporate purchasing procedures.
  • Continually ensuring stock supply chain is maintained with suppliers.
  • Maintaining appropriate quantities of stock to meet the needs of the hospital.
  • Providing information and assistance along with a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Regularly working with the accounts department to ensure quick and prompt payment of invoices. 

This role is responsible for the human resources and operational management of a team of supply officers, including the Theatre Stores team, as well as engaging in the management of staff to ensure that the store is operating effectively.

While this role will be predominantly based at Pindara Private Hospital, this position will also act as support to nearby hospitals, Southport Private Hospital, Short Street Day Surgery and Pindara Day Procedure Centre.

 

About You

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate a commitment to customer service. 

You will also be able to demonstrate the following criteria:

  • All-encompassing experience in a high-volume purchasing department within a corporate environment. Applications with Hospital Supply Management experience will be highly regarded.
  • A detailed knowledge of medical consumables and equipment would be highly regarded
  • Excellent customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to problem solve
  • A high level of computer skills for Outlook and Excel and preferably experience with SAP
  • Proven experience effectively managing teams and human resources personnel to achieve a productive and cohesive working environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety issues, particularly manual handling.
  • Any relevant logistics/supply qualifications will be highly desired.
