We’re currently seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitter to join our team for the month of January, with the potential for further work for the right candidate.

This role operates on an 8/6 and 7/7 roster and offers an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive team in a dynamic site environment.

Contract Dates:

Start: January 2 2025
End: January 30 2025

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct preventative and general maintenance (PMs) on fixed plant equipment
Perform breakdown repairs and troubleshooting in collaboration with other trades
Maintain and service Warman and Sulzer pumps
Support the maintenance and operation of Jord filter belts
Ensure safety and operational standards are consistently met

Required Skills & Experience:

Perth based
Experience with Warman and Sulzer pumps
Previous exposure to Jord filter belts
Strong background in preventative maintenance
Experience responding to breakdowns in a fixed plant environment
Current WA driver’s licence

• Queensland Open Cut Examiner (OCE) Certificate and current practicing certificate.

• Experience in a complex mining situation such as steep dipping seems and underground workings.

• Strong understanding of mining safety regulations and best practices.

Your Role - Drilling Offsiding

• This is an essential position, assisting the diamond driller with daily production targets, ensuring the rig is ready to go and the core is managed in a safe manner, focusing on correct orientation, placement and quality assurance. This position requires a minimum of 12 months experience working alongside a diamond driller in remote locations. (Gold exp highly desirable)
• Perform regular inspections and refuelling activities while ensuring all ore, chemical, and water handling processes meet safety and environmental compliance requirements..

What You Bring

• 1 years’ experience as a surface diamond driller offsider.
• Proven safety knowledge, and ability to achieve set KPI's and targets.
• Current HR driver’s licence,
• Recent National Police Clearance suitable for a gold mine
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
