QMW Industries is a busy leading manufacturing company supplying products to both the mining industry and general fabrication industry.
Securing a contract for multiple large projects, this is an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified persons to join our Brisbane Team in an innovative manufacturing company.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the forecasting, planning and day to day management incoming and outgoing client goods. Your role will consist of the following responsibilities (not limited to):
Receive client product and vehicles including storage, identification, photo’s and completion of receivals documentation in QMS.
As a despatch / receiving officer your role also includes identifying and placing client’s goods and vehicles into storage, producing a photographic records and completing various documentation, liaising with internal and external clients regarding receival dates of incoming goods and delivery dates of completed product to be despatched.
Despatch QMW goods to clients including booking of freight, creating of despatch documentation in QMS and updating of information in QMS after the goods have been despatched.
Liaise with internal and external clients regarding receival dates of incoming goods.
Liaise with internal and external clients regarding delivery dates of product to be despatched.
Wrap manufactured goods onto pallets and into boxes etc ready for despatch to clients.
Assist in fit-out of components onto finished product.
To be successful in this role you must have:
Manual drivers’ licence.
Forklift licence.
Ability to work autonomously and without supervision.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
Excellent team player with organisation, time management and interpersonal skills.
Strong Microsoft office and Computer skills highly desirable.
To be successful for the role, you will have had previous experience in stock control, great communication skills dealing with both suppliers and clients and other departments within the business. You will have a positive attitude and the ability to be flexible when required.
The successful candidate will be expected to meet ALL QMW's safety regulations and will be required to wear ALL of the protective equipment supplied.

A brief description of your duties include:
Truck driving mostly less than 100kms, short distance running, unloading within tight sheds and over grids.
Providing excellent customer service skills and communication.
Completing the required administrative paperwork/electronic logs.
Complying with Legislation and our policies and procedures.
Day shift, night shift and weekend work available. Mostly 12 hr shifts.

About the role

You’ll rotate across dry, chilled and frozen duties, so no two shifts feel quite the same. The role will also require you to:
Pick and assemble goods accurately
Load trucks efficiently and safely
Receive, put away and rotate stock
Maintain tidy and accurate bin locations
Perform duties in freezer environments (down to -25°C)
Support warehouse housekeeping and safety protocols
Work overtime when required to meet demand
Assign new stock lines a bin allocation
Investigate discrepancies and adjustments and report outcome.
Act accordingly to reduce warehouse expenses through minimising damages and wastage
