The Role: High reach Forklift Operator
This role will be a 50/50 role where you will be required to complete manual handling duties off of the forklift as well. This is not a high speed fast paced environment.

Packing duties:
No 2 days will be the same in these roles! Your duties will vary daily across all facets of warehousing operational tasks.
  • Picking orders VIA paper pick slip and RF Scanners 
  • Wrapping and strapping products and pallets
  • Manual Handling of furniture products
  • Palletising stock
  • General warehouse cleaning up of wrapping rubbish and discarding product boxes
  • Re stacking pallets
  • Loading and unloading trucks and containers
  • Heavy lifting up to 20 kgs
  • Matching paper work to customer orders

Your main forklift duties will involve:

  • Cross checking paper work against orders and signing for delivery to stores

The Candidate:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience:
  • 3+ years High reach and Counter Balance forklift operating experience
  • Experience loading and unloading trucks and containers
  • Replenishment, put away and picking experience
  • Working with bulky goods, furniture and ugly freight
  • Pick packing
  • RF Scanning Experience 
  • Palletising stock
  • Shrink wrapping (Both manual and machine operated)
  • Excellent attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general store duties, including service and supply to staff, maintain stock levels to support workshop jobs, boat refits, and the fleet and farm needs from the Darwin Pearling store.

  • Maintain a store stock audit system, in conjunction with the SPO.

  • Unload vehicles, opens packages and removes contents.

  •  Prepare goods and paperwork in preparation for shipment via the PWL team.

  • Check incoming goods for damage and discrepancies between orders, supply and invoices.

  • Complete farm / fleet two monthly parts requests, fulfill workshop job orders as requested by the Project Controllers / supervisors.

  •  Label goods with details of storage locations.

  • Maintain the controlled system for dispatch items, provide details for transport manifest in conjunction with PWL team.

  • Process orders when received, allocate them to job, farm or fleet and process them through the AX system.

  • Ensure all store orders are accurately detailed before processing, all requisitions are priced, and the necessary quotes are received prior to placing order for the SPO to approve.

  • Follow up with suppliers / contractors in a timely fashion on outstanding goods on back order.

  • Compile a list of pickups and deliveries to be completed via PWL team.

  • If required, assist the SPO and team with generation of purchase orders in AX. Receive into AX with the delivery of goods and track invoices as required.

  • Maintain a safe and clean workplace.

  • May use materials handling equipment such as hydraulic pallet lifters and hand trucks

Qualifications:

  • Drivers License

  • Forklift Truck license

  • Construction White Card

  • Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II or higher.

Experience & Skills:

  • At least one year of relevant full-time work experience

  • Knowledge of computerized warehousing systems

We’re looking for a steady, reliable person to join our client’s afternoon despatch team based in Ravenhall. This role suits someone who’s organised, confident, and happy working in a busy warehouse office where there’s always something happening.
 
What you’ll be doing:
  • Getting all store paperwork sorted each day – pallet summaries, packing slips and any DG forms
  • Signing drivers in and out, doing quick site inductions, and keeping track of load times and pallet numbers
  • Creating consignments through SmartFreight and pulling store orders together by route or truck
  • Entering pallet dockets and raising CHEP/LOSCAM transfer paperwork
  • Keeping in touch with the transport company about how many pallet spaces are left for collection
  • Sending the end-of-day paperwork for each route
  • Scanning and filing the day’s paperwork so it’s easy to find when PODs or missing pallets are queried
  • Helping the customer service team with order cancellations, POD/ETA checks and passing messages through to the right people
