The Opportunity
Consolidated Power Projects is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Secondary to join our engineering team in Melbourne.
Secondary Design Engineers deliver timely and accurate technical designs while supporting field staff, customers and colleagues. The successful candidate will be able to produce accurate precision designs required for secondary protection and control (PAC) systems in the high voltage utility and renewable sectors. You will deliver complex internal and external secondary system design projects, and demonstrate capability of checking secondary system design outputs.
You will join a highly regarded in-house Design & Engineering team of over 160 experienced professionals and play an integral role in the successful delivery of various industry leading projects.

As a Principal Primary Engineer at CPP, you will play a key role in delivering high-voltage substation projects that support the growth of Australia’s renewable energy and utility sectors. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of complex, large-scale infrastructure projects across the country, ensuring high-quality, technically sound primary electrical designs from concept through to construction support.
As a Principal Engineer, you will mentor and support upcoming Engineers whilst remaining involved in technical engineering skills and studies for projects. We are seeking a Maintenance Services Manager to lead the delivery of UniSC’s maintenance, compliance, and asset performance functions across all campuses. In this senior operational role, you will drive proactive, risk-based maintenance planning, ensure statutory compliance, and develop lifecycle strategies that support the safety, sustainability, and long-term performance of UniSC’s campus environments.
You will provide expert technical guidance to University management, lead multidisciplinary maintenance teams, oversee key service contracts, and contribute to strategic asset and infrastructure planning. This is a pivotal leadership position ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in facilities management, maintenance operations, engineering, or construction within a large and complex environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
· Manage and control the life cycle of design data using Autodesk Vault.
· Prepare BOM and maintain them using Autodesk Vault PDM.
· Design pressure vessels in compliance with ASME and AS1210 codes.
· Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, change requests, and ECO.
· Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly instructions, and maintenance manuals.
· Carry out and review Engineering calculations to ensure they are consistent with SMARDT’s design intent and the applicable codes.
· Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the manufacturing process.
· Provide assistance to production related to design and BOM-related queries.
· Carry out classical engineering calculations and generate calculation sheets.
· Create 3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Materials (BoMs), work instructions, and technical and commercial proposals as required.
· Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
· A minimum of bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
· To be a Chartered Engineer (CPEng)
· Proficient in designing shell and tube heat exchangers.
· Expertise in designing sheet metal and structural components.
· Well-versed in designing HVAC systems.
· Adept in conducting thermal analysis.
· Experience with ASME and AS1210 Pressure Vessel Codes is mandatory.
· Familiarity with ASHREA/ANSI/ASME codes and design requirements is desirable.

MatchFit have been engaged by a rapidly expanding client who have a strong foothold in the renewables space.
They are concrete (FRP) specialists and are the contractor of choice for many of the principals working in this space.
We are looking for Site Engineers, who are looking to develop their knowledge in the renewables space.
There is a long term strategy here to develop the successful engineers into future project managers and beyond as the company grows and diversifies.
These jobs will run on a 10/4 roster or 15/6 with a 20% to 30% uplift.
The duration for each project will typically run 8-10 months, and when on down time you will be in the Brisbane head office assisting with pricing and winning new work.
What the successful applicant will need to show is:
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
2+ years on-site civil construction experience
Stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop relationships
High level communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office & Project (Asta advantageous)
