OzDetect Pty Ltd is a leading underground utility locating, mapping, surveying, and concrete scanning company based in Smeaton Grange, NSW. We work across a wide range of civil, construction, and infrastructure projects throughout New South Wales, delivering high-quality and compliant locating services in accordance with AS5488:2022.
We are currently seeking an experienced Utility Locator to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for identifying and mapping underground utilities using electromagnetic locating (EML), ground penetrating radar (GPR), and sonde tracing methods. You will collaborate closely with our survey, CCTV, and project management teams to ensure safe and accurate outcomes for every project.
Responsibilities include:
Completing utility locating using EML, GPR, and sonde tracing.
Reviewing and interpreting BYDA and client-supplied utility plans.
Recording site data and field reports accurately.
Liaising with clients and site supervisors to meet project deliverables.
Following OzDetect’s safety, quality, and reporting procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum 1–2 years experience in utility locating (essential).
Competence with electromagnetic and GPR locating.
Current driver’s licence.
White Card (essential).
Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
