Project Engineer – TfNSW (Hay, NSW)
Daily rate: $1,000 Per Day+ Super
Location: 16 Sidonia Road, Hay NSW
Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs per week (on-site role)
Duration: x1 role Until 31 January 2026 x1 role until 30/11/2025
About the role Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the regional delivery team based in Hay.
You will play a key role in delivering critical regional infrastructure projects across multiple sites. A TfNSW-provided vehicle will be available for daily site travel.

About the role Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the regional delivery team based in Hay.
You will play a key role in delivering critical regional infrastructure projects across multiple sites. A TfNSW-provided vehicle will be available for daily site travel.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver assigned civil and infrastructure works across multiple project sites
- Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance are maintained to TfNSW standards
- Oversee contractors and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support successful delivery
- Prepare project documentation, monitor progress, and report on cost, schedule, and risk
- Support construction supervision and resolve technical issues as they arise
Essential requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience (delivering infrastructure works; 8–10 years preferred for long-term roles)
- White Card (mandatory)
- WOF and Traffic Control tickets (or willingness to obtain at own cost)
- Full driver’s licence and ability to travel across regional sites
- Prior Local or State Government experience highly regarded
- Competitive $1000 + super daily rate
- Work with a high-performing TfNSW delivery team on critical regional infrastructure
- Transport vehicle provided for project use
