About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced RPEQ Structural Engineer to join a high-performing team on a major industrial site in Mt Isa. This is a FIFO role, ideally suited to a professional with strong site-based experience in heavy industrial, mining or infrastructure environments. The position offers immediate start and runs on a 6-month full-time contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Structural assessment, inspection, and certification of existing site infrastructure
Oversight and approval of modifications to structural elements
Liaising with site supervisors, design teams, and contractors to ensure compliance with engineering standards
Producing RPEQ-certified reports and documentation
Supporting project delivery teams through expert advice and practical engineering guidance
Requirements:
Current RPEQ registration (Structural)
Minimum 5 years’ structural engineering experience, ideally in mining, resources, or industrial projects
Proficient in structural analysis software and site inspection reporting
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on remote sites
Available to commence immediately
Able to commit to FIFO roster (e.g. 2:1 or 8:6)
