We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Facilities Contract Manager to oversee both local and regional operational teams across New South Wales. This role is key to ensuring the successful delivery of government-funded maintenance programs, with a strong focus on meeting contract milestones, managing performance and maintaining high-quality service standards.

This role reports directly to the Managing Director and requires semi-regular travel across NSW, so flexibility and a proactive approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver business objectives, managing quality, operations and finance to achieve contractual KPI’s within the relevant legislation;
  • Deliver business objectives by managing quality, operations, and finance to meet KPIs and comply with legislation
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee timely, high-quality maintenance services across NSW
  • Manage contract budgets and collaborate with senior management to achieve financial and operational targets
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance profitability
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, onboarding, and performance to meet contract requirements and service-level agreements (SLAs)
  • Ensure all work complies with legal, contractual, WHS, and statutory obligations, including building codes and essential safety standards
  • Monitor and manage workflows to ensure timely completion of tasks within contractual timeframes
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and actively participate in contract meetings
  • Manage and approve scope variations in line with operational and contractual guidelines
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless contract delivery
  • Lead, mentor, and support team members to build a positive, high-performing team culture
  • Promote culturally safe practices and respectful engagement with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualification or degree in Building & Construction or a related field preferred;
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in the building or asset maintenance industry, or a similar field;
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring high-performance teams;
  • Experience working with or within government departments (highly regarded);
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and implementing strategic change;
  • Strong personal and professional ethics with a focus on continuous improvement;
  • Proven ability to manage trades, suppliers, and project budgets;
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • Strong commercial/business acumen;
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and interpersonal;
  • Proficiency with Windows, tablets, and various operational systems or databases;
  • Current Driver’s Licence;
  • National Police Clearance (within the past 12 months or willingness to obtain);
  • White Card (mandatory)
