Seeking Senior Corporate Accountant who thrives in a dynamic, supportive team and enjoys broad exposure across financial reporting, compliance, budgeting and investor relations. Based in Surry Hills, Sydney, you will play a pivotal role.
You’ll work closely with business leaders, project teams and external advisers, contributing to strong financial stewardship and strategic decision-making. Roster: Monday to Friday
Location: Surry Hills, Sydney NSW
Oversee and run the smooth accounting and financial reporting back office in collaboration
Prepare monthly management accounts and support detailed Board reporting
Lead half-year and full-year statutory reporting obligations
Prepare investor reports, statements and financial updates
Manage budgets and oversee cash flow planning, forecasting and monitoring
Ensure compliance with AFSL (Australian Financial Services Licence) policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
Oversee treasury functions, tax calculations and key regulatory lodgements
Support the preparation of Board and Audit Committee papers
Identify and drive system, control and process improvements across the finance team
Mentor team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace culture
CPA or CA qualified
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
Strong experience in a Senior Accountant, Corporate Accountant or Finance Specialist role
Demonstrated understanding and hands-on experience with AFSL compliance procedures (essential)
Proven ability to manage budgets and cash flow
Experience preparing Board, statutory and investor reporting
High computer literacy, including ERP systems and advanced Excel
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project-driven environment
