Due to continued growth, QMW Industries are recruiting a Bandsaw Operator/ Labourer to join our Hi-Performance Operations Team.

About you:

• Reliable and highly motivated with a positive ‘can do’ attitude

• A strong work ethic and able to meet strict deadlines 

• Ability to work as part of a team or independently

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• Have a valid and current Qld Driver’s License with reliable transport

• MUST have a valid and current Qld LF Forklift License

• Confined Space Ticket an advantage

About the role:

• Operate machinery including bandsaw and plasma cutter including adjustment machine requirements due to material and project specifications.

• Material processing including chamfering steel plates, SHS, RHS etc.

• Assist with the assembly, strip and/or fit-out of various products.

• Spotting for trades performing confined space fabrication and welding work.

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to manage parts and raw materials.

• General workshop duties including maintaining consumable stock levels.

• Maintain a safe, clean and well organized work environment including management of steel racking and stock levels.

• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.

• Identify and escalate any issues relating to safety, quality, delivery, cost, environment and people.
