About the role

We are seeking a well organised Timber-yard Office Administrator to join our team at Hume and Iser Mitre 10' in Bendigo, Victoria. This full-time position will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of our busy timber-yard by managing administrative duties and providing exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Providing general administrative support to the timber-yard, including filing, data entry, and document management

• Handling customer inquiries and orders over the phone, in person, or via email in a prompt and professional manner

• Maintaining inventory records and assisting with stock management tasks

• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to coordinate deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders

• Ensuring the office space is well-organised and maintained

• Adhering to company policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in an administrative or customer service role, preferably within the retail or construction industry

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to learn new software systems quickly

• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records

• A customer-centric approach and a genuine desire to provide exceptional service
