We're currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Project Manager to join a local council and deliver a variety of capital works projects across building, roads, civil infrastructure, and open spaces.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with proven experience delivering council or public infrastructure projects to take ownership of a diverse portfolio and make a real impact in the community.
Manage and deliver multiple projects across building, civil, road, and open space portfolios from conception to completion.
Oversee contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
Prepare and review project documentation, reports, budgets, and tenders.
Ensure compliance with council standards, WHS, and environmental requirements.
Liaise effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and the community.
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience delivering council infrastructure projects (building, civil, road, or open space).
Strong project management and coordination skills with the ability to handle competing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - essential for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
Knowledge of local government processes, procurement, and contract management.
Up to 12-month contract with potential for extension.
