Join the AIR6500 Program as the Distributed Operations & Participation IPT Project Manager and Lead with Impact!
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our Distributed Operations & Participation (DOP) IPT within the AIR6500 Program. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to our cutting-edge defence project, working within an Agile environment.
Your Role:
As the DOP IPT Project Manager, you will be responsible for optimising engineering scope delivery across assigned sub-IPTs. Starting with the System Management IPT, you'll evolve your role to support other sub-IPTs, acting as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for sub-IPT Lead(s) to maximise engineering resource utilisation within an executable plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the DOP IPT Program Manager to establish endorsed plans for project increments and ensure sufficient team resources.
Build and maintain strong relationships and communication across IPTs and support teams.
Manage budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
Monitor and report on performance, identifying and addressing issues that impact performance and opportunities for improvement.
Manage risks and opportunities, plan and schedule material releases, and analyse resources profiles.
Coordinate the delivery of Customer Furnished Data/Equipment/Material for your allocated sub-IPT scope.
Maintain the sub-IPT drumbeat, demonstrating a 'Mission First' mindset aligned with AIR6500 Objectives.
To be successful you will need the following experience and knowledge
Possess advanced competence in EVM principles, data analysis, and performance maintenance.
Exceptional strong planning and organizational skills, coupled with proven management experience in multi-discipline teams.
Understand the intricate interfaces between technical, ILS, and Systems Engineering lifecycle.
Have a solid grasp of engineering disciplines and their interactions with finance, commercial, support, and quality areas.
Excel in managing subcontractors, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and contract compliance.
Familiar with Open Plan Professional and/or Microsoft Project.
Familiar with AS4360 (Risk Management) and ISO9001 (Quality Systems).
Highly desirable
Experience with Jira and Confluence.
Background in complex Defence programs, focusing on system of systems and Agile methodologies.
Air battle management domain experience or knowledge of military command and control systems, linked to deployable military sensor and communications capabilities.
