The Opportunity
We’re currently seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our growing team. This role is ideal for operators with a high level of skill and precision, especially around live underground assets. You’ll be joining a supportive environment where safety is paramount, and attention to detail is critical. Full training on our systems and processes will be provided over the first three months.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate excavators in proximity to live gas, electrical, and other underground services
Carry out both standard and non-destructive excavation methods
Assist with a wide range of civil maintenance tasks, including:
Emergency response works
Concreting and fencing works
Landscaping and minor repairs
Tree and asbestos removal (with tickets)
What You’ll Bring
Excavator competency ticket with 5+ years’ experience in high-risk, precision excavation
Construction White Card
MR truck licence (minimum)
Proven ability to work safely around live assets
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset
Confidence using mobile devices for job logging (training provided)
Other Requirements
Willingness to join an on-call roster following probation
Flexibility for early starts, occasional late finishes, and some weekend work
