The Role
Reporting to the Partner as their 2IC, you'll lead a high-performing team, own key client relationships and drive quality delivery. It's a hands-on, client-facing leadership role with real influence.
- Lead a $1m+ client portfolio: provide tax compliance and advisory services to ultra high net-wealth individuals, small business and entrepreneurial clients (middle markets), and corporate clients (SGEs, foreign entities etc.)
- Be the trusted adviser: deliver pragmatic tax, structuring and commercial advice; guide clients through transactions, succession and growth.
- Run the engine room: manage workflow, budgets and resourcing.
- Grow people & revenue: coach seniors/AMs, set expectations, give feedback; spot cross-sell and BD opportunities; champion culture and values.
What You Bring
- CA/CPA qualified; 10+ years Australian business services with 2+ years at manager level (Top 100 firm experience valued).
- Strong technical grounding across accounting, tax and reporting, with commercial nous and budgeting discipline.
- Proven leadership: team management, mentoring, succession planning.
- Clear, confident communicator with HNW, SME and corporate clients.
- Growth mindset; willing to challenge and improve.
