Call Centre Operator – NSW Government (Newcastle) $35.80 + super | Full-time | Monday–Friday | Onsite only
Looking to step into a stable NSW Government role where your customer service skills genuinely make an impact? We’re recruiting Call Centre Operators for Service NSW’s Road Safety team in Newcastle, supporting customers with important enquiries that help keep NSW roads safe.

What you’ll be doing • Handling inbound customer calls with clear, accurate information
• Navigating multiple systems while recording customer details
• Completing email follow-ups and case notes

What we’re looking for • 2–3 years customer service experience (call centre, admin, retail or office-based)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident using multiple computer systems
• Comfortable with Outlook, Teams, email etiquette and multi-screen environments
• Government experience is a bonus, not essential
Details you need to know • Full-time, 35 hours per week

Rotating roster between 7am–7pm, shifts change every 4 weeks
• Fully onsite at the Newcastle Contact Centre
• Contract from 12 January 2026 to 11 July 2026
• Police check required
• Mandatory in-person assessment centre (60–90 minutes) during shortlist stage
