The Role

This is not just another tax role; it is a chance to shape the financial architecture of a company in motion.

As Senior Tax Manager, you will be the trusted advisor and technical lead, shaping how the business manages, governs and evolves its tax strategy through a period of rapid expansion. You will be hands on from day one, bringing both precision and initiative to a role that combines compliance, improvement and influence. Key responsibilities include:-

• Owning and elevating corporate tax and FBT compliance across a complex, multi-entity landscape

• Strengthening tax governance, assurance and control frameworks that underpin long-term success

• Interpreting and applying complex legislation with clarity and commercial judgment

• Driving process improvement, automation and simplification to create capacity for higher value work

• Providing technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to emerging talent

• Partnering with finance, legal and corporate development teams on restructures, acquisitions and strategic projects

In your first 12 to 24 months you will be close to the detail, delivering, refining and building. As the business matures your focus will expand to strategy, oversight and leadership.

Skills and Experience

• Strong experience in corporate tax from commerce, Big 4, mid-tier or expertise in tax derived solid private clients

• A strong foundation in compliance combined with commercial maturity and a sense of ownership

• Experience with complex, multi-entity groups or financial services environments is an advantage

• Proven ability to review, refine and mentor with confidence and care

• Excellent communication and influencing skills that build credibility at every level

• Collaborative, grounded and pragmatic; someone who values accuracy over ego

• You are motivated by progress, comfortable with complexity and proud to leave things better than you found them.
