Join the Laydigo Group as our Accounts and Payroll Officer! As a group of expanding medical clinics and disability providers, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced officer to support the financial operations of our group.

At Laydigo Group, we value working as a team to support each other and the organisation’s business strategies. As part of our strategy to streamline the group’s financial processes, we require a full-time Accounts and Payroll Officer to oversee the group’s accounts management and payroll.

Our head office is located in Bundaberg; however, we also have operations in Townsville, Mackay, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Tweed Heads.

Position Overview/ About the Role

As our Accounts and Payroll Officer, you will be part of our finance team and work closely with each company’s operations team to support the group’s financial integrity and growth. This role will support the day-to-day financial functions of the group and covers an array of different operations within our medical clinics and NDIS companies.

What You’ll Do

You will oversee the full scope of accounts and payroll functions across our Medical Clinics, Supported Independent Living (SIL), Child Safety and Community programs and other administration and finance teams.

  • Assist in preparing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable

  • Complete Bank Reconciliations

  • Process fortnightly payroll and employee entitlements using Xero, ShiftCare and Employment Hero in accordance with the applicable modern awards, i.e. SCHADS Award, Nurses Award, Health Professionals and Support Services Award.

  • Maintain and update employee records, leave accruals, timesheets, and contract data

  • Assist in administrative tasks such as filing and record-keeping

  • Provide general support to the finance team

About You

Due to the scope of the accounts and payroll for the entities you will be overseeing, experience in a similar role will be essential to your success.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping (preferred)

  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively and meet deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email

  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

  • Experience using Xero, ShiftCare and Employment Hero is also highly regarded
