Mansfield Autism Statewide Service (MASS) is a not-for-profit, independent organisation. We support autistic people from infancy through to adulthood.
We create personalised programs that focus on each person’s strengths, needs, and goals. Our aim is to help individuals and their families live independent, inclusive, and meaningful lives.
Our services have been designed as a ‘wrap around’ model – each service complements and enhances the quality of care we provide.
About the role:
We are looking for a full-time teacher for an ongoing role to commence in Term 1, 2026.
Teachers at Mansfield Autism are responsible for delivering engaging and individualised learning programs in a specialist autism setting for students aged from five to eighteen years old. The teacher has the responsibility for the education and welfare of the students, maintaining a quality learning environment. Teachers display a high level of professional standard in their classrooms, working within a team environment and are accountable to the Principal and Assistant Principal in all areas of teaching and curriculum development.
Our teachers are excellent communicators, regularly collaborating beyond the classroom to a student’s care team, with parents, teachers, support staff, allied health professionals and our other services supporting students outside of school hours.
About you:
Recognised University or Tertiary teaching qualifications
Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
Special Education qualification/s preferred
Experience working with students with a diagnosis of autism
Understand and recognise the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of students
Full unrestricted working rights in Australia (please note, we cannot provide visa sponsorship at this time)
