About the opportunity:
We’re seeking a proactive and personable Customer Service Officer to join our team in Moulamein. In this part-time role, you’ll be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, delivering high-quality customer service across a wide range of Council and agency services. Whether assisting with enquiries, processing transactions or supporting community programs, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the image of Council and supporting our community.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide accurate, timely and friendly customer service across multiple channels.
Respond to phone and in-person enquiries, ensuring first-contact resolution where possible.
Process payments, balance cash drawers, and generate financial reports.
Support Service NSW, Services Australia, V/Line, library and cemetery services as required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Council operations and community services.
Handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
Participate in continuous improvement and team collaboration.
What we're looking for:
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple enquiries in a fast-paced environment.
Sound organisational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems.
Commitment to confidentiality, integrity and customer satisfaction.
Current Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Check (NSW), and National Police Check.
Previous experience in local government or high-volume customer service is desirable.
