Position: Hydraulic Technician / Fitter & Turner

Job Description
As a Hydraulic Technician, you will report directly to Managment and become an integral part of our multidisciplinary team. You’ll have the opportunity to take on a variety of tasks, supporting and enhancing our hydraulic engineering services. This role will involve a mix of hands-on work and technical problem-solving, with a focus on maintaining our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strip, assess, repair, rebuild, and test hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders.

  • Perform fault-finding, diagnosis, and provide product analysis reporting.

  • Adhere to the company’s quality control processes and safety standards.

  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information.

  • Basic machining tasks as required.

  • Assist with other duties and projects to support the business needs.

Skills and Experience Required
Mandatory:

  • Trade qualification (Fitter and Turner, Mechanic, or equivalent).

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.

  • Own tool kit (sufficient to perform the duties of the role).

  • Class C driver’s license.

  • Right to work in Australia.

  • Strong commitment to Workplace Health & Safety practices.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Experience with operating center lathes, drills, borers, and horizontal mills.

  • Welding qualifications or experience (beneficial but not required).
