We're looking for an experienced Walking Floor Truck Driver to join our team in an ongoing role starting mid-December. If you've got the experience and want stable hours, great pay and a safe, supportive environment-this is the job for you.
What You'll Be Doing
✔ Operating HR/HC vehicles with walking-floor trailers
✔ Transporting bulk waste & recyclables between sites
✔ Completing daily pre-starts, post-trip checks & defect reports
✔ Using walking-floor systems for safe, efficient loading/unloading
✔ Following set routes & meeting scheduled delivery/collection times
✔ Complying with QLD road laws & fatigue-management requirements
✔ Using onboard systems/telematics to log loads, mileage & jobs
✔ Communicating with site teams and customers in a professional manner
✔ Reporting hazards & equipment issues promptly
✔ Keeping your truck clean, tidy and safe
What You Bring
⭐ Heavy vehicle driving experience - HR minimum, HC ideal
⭐ Walking-floor trailer experience (ESSENTIAL)
⭐ Strong understanding of load restraint & weight distribution
⭐ Confident with daily checks, defect reporting & safe work processes
⭐ Knowledge of QLD transport rules & fatigue-management
⭐ Experience in waste, recycling or industrial sites (highly regarded)
⭐ Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently
Licences & Checks Required
- HR licence minimum (HC licence preferred)
- Police Check
- Driver History Report
- Pre-employment medical
