This 120-place childcare centre, located in Ballarat’s central south-west, features bright, spacious rooms filled with natural light and an impressive outdoor play space complete with a water splash area, sensory pathways, a rock-climbing wall, outdoor nursery, and a large play area for children to explore and enjoy.

Position Overview

As the Educational Leader, you will play a key role in bringing the learning journey to life by mentoring and supporting educators, enhancing program quality, and ensuring meaningful learning experiences for every child within the centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the educational team to enhance the quality of education and care.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among staff.
• Collaborate with families to promote their involvement in the educational journey of their children.
• Be an active member of the Centre Leadership Team.
• Lead and participate in Lead Educator meetings.
• Assess and document children’s learning and development, using this information to inform program planning.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and centre policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• ACECQA Approved Diploma in Children’s Services or Bachelor’s Degree (Early Education) or working towards.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Lead Educator role or higher within a childcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting the growth of young learners.
