A Leadership Role That Makes a Difference!
The Opportunity
Bentleys SA/NT is a highly regarded accounting firm, offering a full range of integrated business advisory, accounting, audit and specialist services to our clients for a one-stop-shop of business support. Through consistent growth we are expanding our Business Services & Advice team and seeking a new Manager to join our leadership team.
This is more than just your everyday accounting position - it's an opportunity to lead, inspire and make an impact. Reporting directly to the Partner, in this fast paced and diverse role your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Client Leadership
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across diverse industries
- Deliver high-level advisory services including tax planning, business structuring, and strategic growth advice.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of high achieving accounting professionals.
- Oversee workflow, allocate jobs, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Technical Oversight
- Review complex financial statements and tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance on complex tax and accounting issues.
- Ensure adherence to ATO regulations and accounting standards.
Practice Management
- Monitor WIP, budgets, and productivity.
- Drive efficiency and implement process improvements.
- Contribute to business development and growth initiatives.
Strategic Contribution
- Support partners in delivering firm-wide objectives.
- Identify opportunities for new services and client engagement.
- Assist in shaping the future direction of the business services division.
The clients we work with are truly diverse. You could be spending time in the beautiful wine regions across South Australia, helping to build iconic fashion brands or visiting South Australian agribusinesses or stations in the Northern Territory.
About you
You’re an experienced accounting professional who thrives in public practice, client service delivery and leadership. You’ll bring:
- CA or CPA qualifications;
- At least 5 years of technical experience in accounting, financial management and providing client advice;
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team of accounting professionals;
- A proven ability to build strong, lasting relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels;
- Exceptional technical skills in financial management and accounting.
