We are looking to hire an experienced cafe supervisor or someone who is ready to “step up” into a more senior role, to oversee the day-to-day operations of our cafe.
To be successful, you should demonstrate strong management and leadership skills and ensure that your team carries out all duties efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Recruiting, training, and supervising the team
Ensuring the integrity of pricing, ingredients & portion control
Ensuring that your department is clean & well-presented at all times
Ensure your department meets all food safety requirements
Preparing weekly work schedules for the team and finding suitable replacements in cases of staff absence
Ensuring that all expenses are within budget and identifying ways to decrease operational costs
Receiving delivered supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered
Taking inventory of supplies and ordering new stock as needed.
Resolving customer complaints regarding food quality and customer service.
Suggesting new menu items based on customers' preferences and feedback.
Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers.
Requirements:
A food handler's license
Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
Strong business acumen
Management experience at any level of Hospitality or Food Retail is preferred
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills & exceptional customer service skills
Ability to work Rotating Roster which includes every 2nd Saturday
