Brightstar Resources (ASX: BTR) owns and operates the established Second Fortune Gold Mine and the newly launched Fish mine in the Laverton Goldfields region of Western Australia. We're entering a significant phase of expansion and are seeking an experienced Underground Auto Electrician to join our FIFO team at Second Fortune.
The role:
This is a fantastic time to join our rapidly expanding team, working a 2/2 roster, you’ll be responsible for the following:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues on Sandvik, Catapillar, Volvo and Toyota mining machinery.
- Fault-finding and breakdown response.
- Conduct inspections and upgrade electrical systems per OEM specifications.
- Ensure all electrical work meets OEM standards and quality guidelines.
- Document work performed, including detailed handovers and parts lists.
- Maintain safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment.
About you:
- Australian recognised Auto Electrician trade qualification (essential).
- Previous underground mobile mining experience (essential).
- RCT remote experience (heavily desirable).
- Current Valid Manual Driver’s License and ability to operate underground vehicles with relevant RPLs (essential).
- Full Australian Working Rights (essential).
- WA-based and available for FIFO (essential).
- Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding conditions.
