About the role:
In this role, you will contribute positively to community outcomes by supporting the effective management of the community property portfolio. You will lead the delivery of Council’s Community Venues Strategy, ensuring equitable access to fit-for-purpose facilities, the activation of community spaces, and the development of a sustainable operating model. A key part of your responsibilities includes providing leadership and support to the Administrator – Community Venues to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Additionally, you will oversee the transactional and operational aspects of Council venue bookings, ensuring processes are streamlined and community needs are met effectively.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
Relevant experience in property management and/or relevant external qualifications.
Demonstrated experience in managing community venues such as halls or other general access facilities.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, alone, and proven ability to accept responsibility.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Ability to analyse assets and associated data; identify, assess and interpret council property infrastructure needs and options.
Ability to identify, manage and mitigate risks.
Ability to provide leadership to professional staff and contractors.
Commitment to excellence in customer services.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written and negotiation communications skills.
Experience in leading a team including the development and performance management of staff.
Class C Drivers Licence.
