We are now recruiting for an experience Quarry Manager to lead our Bass Point Quarry, located in Shellharbour in the Illawarra region of the NSW South Coast.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager Aggregates, this leadership role is a multi-faceted role for someone looking for the next step in their career or looking to apply their existing skills and experience in an important role in a growing and exciting market.

As the Quarry Manager, you will hold direct responsibility for all aspects of the operations focusing on safety, environment, plant, equipment to achieve annual financial targets whilst delivering on customer requirements and execution outcomes.

In your new role you will:

• Lead and manage people while bringing your team along the journey to successfully achieve goals
• Make business decisions that impact the overall performance of the business, including achieving agreed targets / KPIs, financial planning, budgeting, and managing costs within budget.
• Manage the day-to-day operations where you are responsible for quarry development, storm water and environmental management, and preventative maintenance schedules
• Focus on continuing our approach to rehabilitation and maintaining our reputation within the industry as a responsible and sustainable partner within the community.
• Bring a strong safety mindset and manage high risk activities and reduce risk exposure for self and others.

To be successful in this role:

• You must hold a Tier 1 Quarry Manager Practicing Certificate (essential)
• You have a safety mindset with a total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm
• An ability to support continuous improvement across the Supply Chain process to establish good performance through insight and innovative planning.
• A strong leadership mentality with a demonstrated track record in delivering transformational change within a complex business environment
• The capability to deliver exceptional negotiation and influencing skills when interacting with varying levels of internal and external stakeholders
• You are a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure.
• You have a positive presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• You have a high level of resilience and adaptability to changing situations.
