Design & Engineering

CPP has the largest in-house design and engineering team of any contractor in Australia, with over 170 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary, Civil, Structural, and SCADA disciplines. We provide end-to-end engineering solutions for high-voltage infrastructure, including nationally significant transmission projects, HV substations, wind farms and battery storage systems that drive Australia’s renewable energy transition.

Our engineers work closely with construction and operations teams, ensuring designs are practical, constructible, and continually refined through real-world feedback. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, we deliver solutions that support a stable, reliable, and sustainable energy future.

The Opportunity 

Join our growing Structural Engineering team at our Halifax Street head office in Adelaide and play a key role in delivering cutting-edge high-voltage infrastructure projects. From substations and transmission lines, to wind, solar and battery storage systems, you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of projects shaping Australia’s renewable energy future.

Leveraging your expertise in structural drafting, you will provide critical drafting and design support across the full project lifecycle ensuring high-quality, compliant, and timely outcomes that drive successful project execution.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Proven experience in structural design and drafting, ideally within the utilities, renewables, infrastructure or mining
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and MicroStation
• Solid skills in 2D drafting and 3D modelling
• The ability to interpret and apply design information from electrical, civil, mechanical, and structural engineering disciplines
• Relevant tertiary qualifications, while advantageous, are not essential
