About the role
We require a Full Time Warehouse Assistant to join the team at our Bayswater branch to assist our busy team in a great working environment. The position gives an opportunity for someone to enjoy a stable position with job security while working with a friendly close knit team.
Responsible to:
Branch Manager
Assistant Branch Manager
Warehouse Supervisor
Hours of work:
Monday – Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm
Saturday (every second) 8:00am to 12:00pm
Job tasks and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Picking and packing branch transfer orders
Picking and packing orders accurately and promptly
Some heavy lifting and manual lifting
Checking, loading/unloading pallets and containers of goods
Receiving and storage of goods, including checks on inwards goods from suppliers
Understanding and using the PROSTIX computer system that the company uses
Housekeeping duties
Delivery of customer goods to site as required
Skills and experience
The successful applicant must meet the following criteria
Physically capable and fit
Able to follow instructions and work unsupervised
Ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrate leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
High customer service standards
Must possess a 'can do attitude'
Demonstrate organisational/time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
Punctual and reliable
Have safety as a focus during work
Have a minimum of 1 year experience in warehousing
Must have a current LF forklift licence
Must have a current manual drivers licence
Possess their own transport
