This role enables you to play an active part in creating healthy meals for young children whilst working as part of a team.

Criteria for Successful Applicants:
Able to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of ages 6 weeks to 6 years
Efficient and capable of cooking with the ability to follow a set menu.
Experienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control.
Strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies and specific dietary requirements.
Keen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events.
Possess a professional and enthusiastic attitude.
Help nourish the children in our care with your culinary expertise as well as any input you may have to contribute towards growing our own fresh produce.
Be a positive person who will develop strong relationships with families, children, colleagues and the community.
Have a current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).
Current Food Safety Certificate (or willing to obtain).
Have a current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training (or willing to obtain).
Experience or education within an early childhood setting will be highly regarded.
The position of Centre Cook is a part time position offering 5 hours per day Monday to Friday
