Michael Page have partnered with a global mining equipment company located South of the Perth CBD to recruit an Accountant into their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Client Details
A proud global mining equipment company, our client has been in operations for over half a century, providing services into the mining, construction and utility sector, among others. The business has a presence across Australia, Asia, Europe and both North and South America. Due to company growth, the finance team is now expanding with this new Accountant hire.
Description
Reporting into the Senior Accountant/Financial Controller, the purpose of this role is to manage the general accounting and month end function. Key tasks will also include:
- Perform financial accounting tasks to support process improvement.
- Run month end, quarter end and year end function.
- Consolidations, reconciliations and journals.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to support business operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements for financial reporting and controls.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Profile
The successful candidate will possess the following traits:
- CA/CPA Qualified (or working towards).
- Relevant commercial experience, working in a Financial, Management or generalist Accountant role.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
