Child and Adolescent Development Service (CAADS) is a leading provider of allied health services for young people in the North Brisbane area. The RoleJoin our friendly, professional team at CAADS as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist. This full-time or part-time role based in North Lakes, Queensland suits a passionate practitioner who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and their families.
What you will be doing
Assessing needs and developing individualised treatment plans for children and adolescents with a range of developmental, physical, social and emotional challenges.
Delivering individual and group therapy with a play-based approach for learning and skills building in a fun and engaging way.
Evaluating functioning and providing advice and recommendations to other stakeholders (e.g. day-care, school, NDIA).
Collaborating closely with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to client care.
Contributing to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of services, including program and resources development.
Qualified and registered (AHPRA) Occupational Therapist with experience working with paediatric clients, preferably in a community-based or private practice setting. Early-career OTs are welcome to apply.
Excellent clinical assessment and intervention skills, with a strong understanding of child development and therapeutic approaches.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families and other stakeholders.
Adaptability and problem-solving skills to manage a diverse caseload and respond to the unique needs of each client.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
