Brightstar Resources (ASX: BTR) owns and operates the established Second Fortune Gold Mine and the newly launched Fish mine in the Laverton Goldfields region of Western Australia. We're entering a significant phase of expansion and are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter with underground experience to join our FIFO team at Second Fortune.
The role:
This is a fantastic time to join our rapidly expanding team here at Brightstar Resources, working a 2/1 roster, days and nights, you’ll be responsible for the following:
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on underground mining equipment in accordance with OEM specifications and site maintenance procedures
- Fault Diagnosis: Conduct thorough fault-finding and diagnostic activities on complex mechanical systems and engines to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions
- Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team while actively identifying and mitigating potential hazards
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document all maintenance activities, including detailed handovers, scopes of work, and service documentation to support traceability and operational continuity
About you:
- Australian Recognized Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certification
- Experience as an Underground HD Fitter
- Highly motivated and able to work autonomously
- Hold a valid Australian manual Driver's License
- Full Australian Working Rights
