About the Role:
Genis Corporate has a diverse group of entities, with operations spanning multiple industries including steel fabrication, property management and property developments.
As a payroll officer, you will manage accurate and timely payroll processing for 200+ employees across multiple entities, and ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage end-to-end payroll cycles for the group
· Update timesheets to ensure the accuracy of the working hours for the factory staff
· Administer PAYG, Superannuation and Single Touch Payroll
· Ensure accuracy of payroll calculations, including overtime, leave entitlements, payroll tax and workcover etc.
· Maintain and update employee records, including salary, deductions, entitlements and benefits
· Ensure compliance with Fair Work, Enterprise Agreement, Industrial Awards and legislations
· Process job allocation for each pay cycle
· Prepare monthly & annually payroll invoices, reports and reconciliations
· Respond to queries from employees regarding their pay
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations
Skills and Experience:
· You must have 3 years + of experience in a similar role for a medium to large organisation
· Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, enterprise agreements, and taxation requirements, including payroll tax
· Experience with multi-entity payroll processing
· Demonstrated experience with Time & Attendance Systems
· High attention to detail and accuracy in data processing
· Ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to streamline and improve payroll processes
