Legal Office Manager/Executive Assistant – Take the Pressure Off the Partner | Melbourne CBD

If you’re a confident organiser who thrives on structure, communication, and leadership, this is your chance to take charge of a respected employment legal practice in Melbourne’s city centre.

We represent a boutique law firm renowned for its professionalism, integrity, and exceptional client care, and are looking for someone with legal experience.

The firm is now seeking a hands-on Legal Office Manager/Executive Assistant to support the Partner and help lead the daily operations.

About the Role

This is a full-time, 5-day-a-week, in-office role based in Melbourne CBD.
You’ll be the go-to person who keeps the office running smoothly — managing everything from front-of-house to workflow coordination, preparation of/typing documents, client communication, debtor management, staff management, and brand presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all incoming enquiries, emails, and client correspondence
  • Oversee and undertake daily office operations, including  preparation of documents, workflow, staff schedules, and administration
  • Support the Principal Partner by taking ownership of day-to-day matters so they can focus on clients
  • Lead internal communication and ensure a positive team culture
  • Drive social media and branding initiatives, coordinating posts, updates, and client engagement
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and professional partners
  • Handle document management, filing, and general practice compliance tasks
About You

You’re a confident professional who loves being in control of a busy day. You enjoy managing people, processes, and priorities — and you know how to stay composed under pressure.

You’ll have:
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking ability
  • High level of proficiency in Office 365, including Word, Excel and Outlook, and OneDrive
Why Apply
  • Work directly with a respected Principal who values initiative and trust
  • Enjoy autonomy, ownership, and variety in your day
  • Join a team that values professionalism, teamwork, and balance
  • Be the key person who makes the whole office run smoothly
