Join a supportive and collaborative team environment where your expertise in health data analysis can make a meaningful impact. Under broad direction from the Director, the Assistant Director plays a pivotal role within the Reporting and Analysis team of the Data Analytics Branch. This position leads project teams to deliver high-quality reports and dashboards using ACT Health’s Data Repository and other data sources. It is responsible for managing team resources and workloads to ensure timely and effective delivery of reporting solutions, including responses to ad-hoc data requests and stakeholder-driven requirements.

In addition to technical expertise, the role involves supervising and mentoring junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and bring strong experience in health data analysis and reporting. Excellent writing skills and the ability to lead complex data and dashboard projects - such as the ACT Health Service Data Dashboard - are essential.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in data analytics, data science, or a related field, or more than 3 years of experience as a data analyst.
  • Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.

Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
