Who Are We?

Speak Free Speech Pathology is a small team of passionate and enthusiastic paediatric Speech Pathologists. We’ve been around for 3 years and pride ourselves on providing high-quality services to children within our community.

The foundation of our practice is our team, which is why they are our biggest investment. Our goal is to support their clinical and professional growth, whilst maintaining their wellbeing and having fun. We understand that you spend a lot of time at work, so you should enjoy what you do. Our Director, who is also our Lead Speech Pathologist, has designed this role with the intention of improving her past experiences of burnout and dissatisfaction.

To meet the expanding need for services in our community, we are seeking a paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our lovely growing team. You will be individually supported by our Director, with weekly clinical supervision and regular check-ins. We have tailored a 12-week induction programme to ease your transition into your new (or first) role.

We value our team culture, which is encouraging, positive, inclusive, and authentic. We embrace open communication and always acknowledge the effort and achievements of every team member.

What We Offer

  • Structured onboarding - time to set you up with our systems, shadow our Director, and gradually build your caseload.

  • Regular supervision and support.

  • Flexibility to work from home, our office, or even a café.

  • A reduced caseload one day a week for additional admin time.

  • Competitive above-award salary + superannuation.

  • A fleet car for travel + a travel allowance if you use your own car.

  • $1500 PD allowance and dedicated PD leave, with opportunities to step into senior or leadership roles over time as we grow.

  • Autonomy to organise and manage your caseload to best suit you.

  • Work laptop, phone, and therapy resources.

  • An enjoyable working environment that is big on celebrating wins.

The Role

  • Assess for speech, literacy, and language delays or disorders.

  • Plan and deliver individualised, evidence-based support.

  • Provide services at a child’s home, pre-school, school, or via telehealth.

  • Complete admin tasks in a timely manner from where you prefer.

  • Work closely with families to create meaningful, child-led therapy goals.

  • Use a strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming approach.

  • Collaborate with educators & other healthcare professionals.

  • Create and adapt therapy resources.

  • Be an engaged team member - participate in team meetings and attend team events.

We’re looking for a new graduate or early-career Speech Pathologist who:

  • Is eager to learn and grow.

  • Is passionate about helping children reach their potential.

  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Can work independently and as part of a team.

  • Has a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (or equivalent).

  • Is a current (or eligible) member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).

  • Holds a current and valid WWCC, Australian driver’s license, & has access to a reliable car.

Details

  • Full-time role starting February/March 2026.

  • Applications will be considered as they are received.
