We are looking to recruit two experienced Supervisors / Leading Hand Carpenters to join our team.
Salary Details
In-Town Work:
· Approximate Salary: $105,000 gross p.a. (excluding superannuation)
· Paid weekly on Thursdays
Remote / Out-of-Town Work (10 days on / 4 days off roster):
· Approximate Salary: $135,200 gross p.a. (excluding superannuation)
· Estimated based on 6 months’ worth of projects, with potential for additional projects
· Wage split over two-week periods to provide consistent income
· Paid every Monday
Note: Actual earnings may vary depending on project schedules, overtime, and roster changes.

About Us

We are currently seeking a full-time Site Supervisor / Leading Hand with a strong carpentry background.
About the Role
This role requires a hands-on leader with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar supervisory or team-lead position. You will be responsible for overseeing onsite operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and supporting our subcontractors and carpentry teams.
We are looking for someone who is energetic, confident, solutions-focused, and able to stay calm under pressure. This role will suit an adaptable and motivated professional looking for long-term career progression within our dynamic company.
Tasks & Responsibilities
· Hands-on carpentry across all aspects of the trade
· Oversee site labour and manage subcontractors as required
· Maintain quality control of all trades and finishes
· Ensure construction progresses according to programme schedules
· Support staff and subcontractors to achieve deadlines and milestones
· Liaise with subcontractors, Project Manager, and Director to ensure compliance with codes and standards
· Coordinate, schedule, and manage site deliveries
· Read and interpret building plans and specifications accurately
· Uphold OHS standards at all times
· Assist the Project Manager in programming upcoming works
Qualifications & Experience
· We are seeking a multi-skilled carpenter who not only excels in all aspects of carpentry but also has practical knowledge and experience across other trades within the construction industry.
· Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
· Trade-qualified carpenter
· Excellent carpentry skills
· Experience in structural and finishing works (highly regarded)
· Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and stage progressions
· Broad knowledge of OHS laws and procedures
· Highly organised with strong communication skills
· Advanced problem-solving ability and strong attention to detail
· Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
· Solid computer literacy
The Successful Applicant Must Have
· Trade Qualification
· Valid QLD Driver’s Licence
· Construction White Card
· Practical experience across residential building & commercial
· Strong background as a carpenter within the construction industry
· A positive attitude—punctual, reliable, and motivated to succeed
· Strong teamwork skills and ability to support apprentices on site
· Ability to complete tasks independently and to a high standard
About the Position
· Full-time role working at a remote site
· 10 days on / 4 days off roster
· Transport to/from site, meals, accommodation, and tools/ equipment all provided
· Above-award wages with overtime and penalties for remote work
· Some Townsville-based work (40 hours per week) when scheduled
· Average gross earnings of $5,200 per week during remote roster periods
o Amount dependent on consistent project schedules and site requirements
