We are looking for someone who is keen to learn about an innovative trade (Saw Doctoring) and be part of a very cool bunch of guys who will support you and help you to develop a whole new set of very sought after skills.

Checkmate Precision Cutting Tools Ltd is a leading Saw supply and service Company throughout Australasia; and we have an opportunity for you to be part of this progressive Industrial Saw and Knife Company - based out of our Tasmanian Operations, which is situated at Bell Bay (near Georgetown). Our workshop is on site at the Timberlink Sawmill.
We are seeking a physically fit and able person with a current driver's license, who is keen to learn a new set of engineering skills. The position entails learning to operate a range of Automated CNC Machines and there is potential to develop yourself further in formal training courses for the right person.
There are downstream opportunities for an apprenticeship for the right candidate.
We see this role being a full-time position, with a minimum of 38 hours per week.
This is a Dayshift/Nightshift position, running Monday – Friday.
To be a successful candidate, you will be a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to operate collaboratively with your work colleagues and with internal/external stakeholders.
