The Role
A State Government department is seeking a Senior Investigations Officer (VPS5). You will lead the conduct of strategic investigations into program participants, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations. You'll analyse findings, prepare reports, and make recommendations on enforcement outcomes. This contract runs until the end of January 2026, with a potential to extend.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct strategic investigations into retailers and installers.
- Analyse evidence, prepare investigation plans, briefs and recommendations for appropriate actions.
- Provide advice, mentoring and training to support capability development within the investigations function.
- Represent the organisation in meetings, workshops and regulatory forums.
About You
- Demonstrated operational experience leading and conducting regulatory or enforcement investigations.
- Strong understanding of regulation, compliance frameworks and investigative processes.
- Experience working with or within regulated industries (construction, electrical or similar).
- Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or equivalent (highly regarded).
