The Opportunity

Vision Surveys is seeking a Project Surveyor to support a pipeline and facilities project in Central Queensland. This position offers a defined scope within a high-performing delivery team, ideal for a hands-on surveyor who values precision, teamwork, and strong project systems.

Open to local candidates in the Rockhampton region or FIFO arrangements (2:1 roster) from Brisbane or other regional centres.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide full survey support across pipeline and facilities works

• Operate confidently using GPS and Total Station systems (Trimble, Leica, or equivalent)

• Manage survey control, calculations, and data quality to meet project specifications

• Collaborate with site engineers and construction leads to ensure accuracy and compliance
  

About You

• Relevant experience in civil, infrastructure, or pipeline surveying

• Proficient in GPS and Total Station operation, with solid QA and reporting capability

• Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently or within a small team

• Available for a 6-month project, with potential to continue on other major infrastructure works

• Practical and delivery-focused, with scope to contribute to business development as the role grows.

• Registration with Surveyors Board of Queensland (SBQ) is desirable

• Must have full Australian working rights with no restrictions
