Role Title: Senior Operations Officer
Grade: Clerk Grade 9/10
Employment Type: Full-time | Temporary up to 12 months.
Location: Hybrid working model with office attendance required 2-3 days per week. We have offices in Parramatta, Lithgow, Maitland, Gosford, Wollongong.



This is an exciting opportunity to join Revenue NSW as a Senior Operations Officer within our Revenue Management team.


About the team
Revenue Management is a small dynamic group who within Strategy & Innovation, Revenue NSW. Comprised of two teams, we are responsible for the financial management and reconciliation of over $45 Billion in state revenue annually.


Your day-to-day
As a people leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day management of two teams who's daily operations ensure financial integrity in business and systems processes and financial reporting.
About you
You're a confident people leader who has experience in supporting multiple concurrent projects with an appreciation for accounting principles. Along with good attention to detail, you will bring a proactive approach to problem-solving and have a proven ability to understand complex regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing and developing staff to ensure all deliverables are met
  • Overseeing workforce planning and resources to effectively meet deliverables and key deadlines
  • Developing, reviewing and implementing improved procedures, develop assessment protocols, guidance and supporting materials
  • Developing, implement and integrate strategic plans


To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Ability to support the team in meeting daily and monthly deliverables, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Comfortable preparing reports, submissions and written advice with limited guidance, demonstrating sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Experience applying relevant legislation and industry standards in operational contexts, particularly in banking and fraud risk environments.
  • Proven capability to identify and manage compliance and risk issues within a legislative framework.
  • Experience in an accounting, banking or financial management setting would be highly regarded but is not essential to be successful in this role.

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $129,464 base plus superannuation
